The Dust of Time

A Call to Help

Time has a lapse of memory. Its called Relative Time. Take for example your birthday. Your birthday is easy to remember. Mine is June 30th. But try to remember other peoples birthdays and suddenly you have a lapse of memory. Trying to understand this is like trying to remember stats from the past. Some people can remember baseball stats and names and Trivia like the Ken Jennings of Jeopardy. Others, like myself, struggle to remember the simplest dates. Still all of us will remember 9/11 for a very long time because of what it means to us. The day when Muslim Terrorists bombed the Twin Towers in New York City.

But what is it in some of us that wishes we could go back and really warn people of this calamity. Would we if we could and if we could do so without causing further pain and suffering? There was a story that a certain company knew that something was going to happen in the Twin Towers and moved out the week before. If we look at them we might think "They must have been guilty of the atrocity..." But what if they warned others and they just laughed and went on with their lives as if nothing happened? Would the company that warned them be responsible for what happened or the people who turned a deaf ear?

Deaf ears keep us from hearing the truth. Deaf ears usually comes to those who grow old and hearing aids or artificial 'sweeteners' become the way of the life. We need such things to aid us in hearing the truth. In reality they need constant updating and most of us are tired of updates. We just want everything to continue on as if it were just the same as before. No interruptions, no difficulties, no sorrows or troubles or tribulations. But in reality life hits us when we least expect it with the proverbial two by four and that hurts.

So if I speak of trials yet to come on this web site do I get an audience? Are there any who are listening? I speak of science here because we all want to be like Dr. Who with a Phone Booth Time Machine that can help us go to the past or the future and if such things do exist, and they might, what do we do with our knowledge. Do we throw it to the winds or do we cling to it and pray someone will listen to us. For example if there were a series of disasters coming how would I warn you? Would you pass this message on to your family and friends? Would you listen to the warning I sent out by radio or television or by newspaper? How long would it take you to act if you had one week only to save yourself and your family? Where would you go and to whom would you turn? Would you have enough money to survive or enough food, water, clothing and shelter? Sometimes we read stories of those who have survived harrowing tales. We who are the 'rested' are the ones who sit back and watch these stories on CNN. We sometimes cry and weep and pray it doesn't happen to us. But why did it happen in the first place? Was there something we missed or some path we should have chose?

In all likelihood there was little we could have done except pray but that is not always the case. I believe in preparation but financially I have few resources to make these dreams come true. A home that is totally self sufficient. One where you can live in safety and comfort and utilize the latest in technology. I know such a home as I envision will probably take a year just to put down in blueprint. I don't have that ability but perhaps some do. I see a world where we live with the earth and it surrounds us but doesn't suffocate us. Where it protects but doesn't smother us. I guess the only way for these dreams to come true is for some of you to wake up and lend a hand. I've been at this web site since 1998 and I've spent my heart and soul in trying to make it a reality. Its not perfect. No web site is. I lack the precise abilities of a professional company that can call on multiple talents. There is just me and so far I'm alone in the totality of this calling. Yet I know you have talents and gifts and financial abilities I don't. I'm calling on you to wake up and help me put together a calling for a new way of living. A new lifestyle based on a integrated community where there are people who care for each other and yet a business model that can reach around the globe. Help me in this. You have arrived at my page on me. Also am interested in any company or organization that would like to sponsor a page or the site itself. Sponsorship does not need to be in the form of cash. In fact if some worthwhile company has products, advice, technical suggestions, even a house for me to live in, and more then I am more then willing to work with you. Earth House will be celebrating its 8th year in 2005 and God willing we will be around longer then that.

 What most people don’t realize is that Earth House is the work of one man. You can see more about me here. As such it is difficult work for me based on several facts most people are unaware of. Though I don’t like to discuss my difficulties I am disabled in two main areas. One is I have severe cervical dystonia and dysphonia along with moderate/severe sleep apnea.

 Why do I mention my health? Mainly because I am unable to work at a normal job. I’ve been paying for Earth House on my disability pay each month. Those of you who have created web sites know the kind of work and finances you have to pour into it. Why do I do it? Because I am passionate about Earth Homes and I care about people. I have been watching TV and reading newspapers for years seeing so many people suffering with storms and earthquakes and poorly built homes. I am convinced Earth Sheltered homes are the way of the future.

But that is where you come in. I may not be able to communicate by phone but I can communicate by e-mail. I’ve had a lot of companies think I was this big, fancy organization. Someday I will have that.

 But I am looking for passionate, caring people who want to play a role in Earth House. I am presently working on the this Vision part of it called Sanctuary. I am putting down ideas that I believe God has shared with me. It is an ongoing vision and will take several years to finish properly. Read it as you are able and ask what role you can play.

Though I would like sponsors please know that I will not change the focus of Earth House unless you can show me a better way. And I am open to better ways if it is bigger, smarter, wiser.
