Why should we focus on communications? I think one of the best possible reasons is the men of the New Testament felt it was critical to write letters, memoirs of their time with Christ, visions from God, their understanding of things they were taught. And they communicated these things to the church in any way that was available to them. Is it not conducive of us to find any and all methods for the furtherance of the gospel of Jesus Christ? Under Education I talked about the importance of Media. Not media controlled by the world but media controlled by us. At present there are a bare handful of organizations which have a world wide reach. Many of them have a concept of what is and is not essential to spreading the gospel as evidenced by a man with a vision. I see what they are doing as but one chapter in the book or perhaps one book in the library of things that can be written.

I believe communications needs to play a part in the last days for a number of reasons. First the Bible indicates that this will be so. It speaks of the whole world seeing the two witnesses as spoken of in Revelation. Yet I think it goes further then this. Most people assume it will be the ‘world’ who will be the ones to witness what is happening and the world who will set the agenda for what people do and do not see. Yet is it necessarily true that there will not be Christians who will be around during this time? Even if the first wave is raptured off to heaven the Bible tells us many millions more will remain and the message of Christ will spread. Must the final chapters of this world system be written only by those who do not believe?

A communication system needs communicators and it needs a system. I believe the Internet is but one small part of it. We need to set up a system of independent satellites stationed around the globe using state of the art systems. We need communication centers around the globe becoming the CNN of Christian news. News that is not filtered nor filled with much of the garbage we are fed. We need intelligent men and women who report the truth from a Biblical viewpoint not tainted by atheism or socialism or what is popular.

It is a proven fact that if socialist type teachers teach Christian youth the latter thinking begins to change to reflect what they are taught. If this is so should we not have a way of unifying the Christian community under one banner? Lets get the wax out of peoples earths and present to them what is really happening in Christian circles. Lets present the fact that Christian persecution is on the rise and its getting worse. Lets show people what they can do and how they can do it. We will promote organizations that bring about change and do not contribute to the problems of society.

And nothing against the preachers out their but I’m tired of having nothing but preachers on the airwaves with their message at the end asking for money. It has become a standing joke among comedians. If at all possible these types of shows will be regulated to the back file. We’ve got to start setting the standards on what is cool. Not by following the worlds ideas but by asking God for inspiration and ideas. It makes me sick to see how we kowtow to the world to try to imitate the latest music fad or TV star. Why should their be Christian rap? How can you take what is based on violence and make it cool? You can’t. Its time we stop seeking our inspiration from Britney or April or Jessica.

Their are many excellent TV shows out their but more and more the airwaves are being filled with violence, filthy language, sexual scenes and innuendo’s. True much of it comes from comedians and politicians but that is not the point. We must create not just local or small time media but International media which creates state of the art TV Shows and movies. What a shame that it took Mel Gibson to make that spiritual breakthrough making the rest of Christendom look like the amateurs that we are. Where is that passion, that vision to reach the world in such a way that the world is amazed and awed? Where is the beautiful music?

Why does everything Christians do have to be based on what others think is right? Where are the architects who create such beauty that hundreds of years later we are still speaking of it? Its time to break down those facades and time to wake up the Holy Spirit in us to be creative in what we say and do. Lets seek those gifts that He offers and communicate these things to the world. We have nothing to be ashamed of. We are the children of God. Its time we let the whole world know where we stand and what we think!
