Putting together a complex vision

Trying to see your vision is like Paul the apostle who said "now I see through a glass darkly." We are all vision specialists to a degree in that we point out what we like and dislike in other folks visions. Trying to get opinions is not as difficult as getting understanding. Understanding takes a little longer and is more conducive to discussion and to building a long term plan for mankind. Now Earth Homes are not yet huge but they will be. I am believing that as we move forward we are looking at a minimum of 10% of people worldwide wanting some form of alternative home. An alternative home is one that allows the owner to sit back and not worry about the state of affairs of such things as gas prices, water conservation, air circulation or toxic buildups simply because his/her home is now prepped for the future.
Now back in the sixties and 70's when the words of a few excited many Earth Sheltered homes became the rage. They lacked though, some of the basic elements that would be on our highest priority list today. These include lighting, humidity, waterproofing of structures, quality of materials and so on. It was/is a tough time and even when I first started Earth House it was easy to find negative comments on these structures. Frankly I love the concept of an earth sheltered home simply because of its elemental stability. There were few building types out there which could command the same respect. So we end up with a building design I might call Earth House. It incorporates the Earth Sheltered design but utilizes various designs including waterproofing along the lines of green roofs. Now green roofs are cool but there are other designs out there that could be incorporated into an earth house. These include straw bale, rammed earth, perhaps even some materials from earthships. I speak of tires as one. I recently had a woman write me stating she had a 1,000 tires she needed to dispose of. That would probably be more then enough for an earthship home of substantial size. They presently live in Gillett, PA - just over theNY boarder into Pennsylvania - So if you have need for some free tires contact me asap and I'll give you the persons phone number to call. fossilman@hotmail.com c/o Joel. Until next time. Keep your chin up and your toes curled.
Have a great day
