Greenhouses

The wall of light is the gift of an earth house. If we could tap into that by putting the greenhouse underneath the earth house we could put a well at the base of the house. The well would provide us with water. The water would provide us heat and life. The greenhouse would be kept lighting not artificially but with lighting that would be incorporated from the base of the earth house. Most likely it would be part of the house floor. Lets say the floor itself were based on transparency at the foot of light. Light would come into the house at the base of the floor and the light would come in directly from the windows and also from skylights built into the overhand.

In addition in front of the earth house you would need a dome based on glass which would bring additional light to the home beneath. For if the light was coming in from different angles it would bring in heat and light. We would have water but if there were a differential added the humidity would retain a 50% area. And that area would remain warm and comfortable in the basement instead of cold and dark. The house itself would be earth sheltered but the overhanging part would be glass. And the dome in front would be surrounded also by earth but if the area beneath got really hot it could be tubes of water which could become a geothermal well used for heating and cooling the entire home both summer and winter.

Now this idea is similar to Foristerre who had an idea to grow a tree underground and let it grow up to the light. It was a good idea and it worked and the tree eventually made it outside. Yet what if the well was based on an actual well of water? What if the well was the geothermal well used to heat and cool the entire house? This way the house would retain its brilliancy and the house itself would become centered on clean water and clean area and clean everything. Heat tends to make things rise such as steam so if it becomes super hot in the well imagine taking that energy and using it. You could, in essence, turn your well into a steam machine. True the water entering the home might be hot but if you wanted it cold you could store it in bottles. And besides few of us take cool or cold showers. We want our water warm or hot. And if we wanted it cool we could create a well beside it but only covered which could take the additional heat and store it also. Or turn the earth around the well into a super warm system that could be used to bring heat in when the snow outside is falling.

Now the greenhouse would still be there but its heat could be used to paint the earth with additional warmth. That warm earth wouldn’t be fun in the summer but that is when the earth needs heating anyway. The house would remain cool because earth isn’t a huge conductor or insulator without help. So if the land becomes a marshland you could tame it and turn it into a thermostat which would provide habitat throughout even the coldest of winters. And also provide heat for your home. And of the greenhouse it would use mirrors perhaps to create extra lighting when winter creeps in. And if it does get really dark outside you can always add lighting.

Now the purpose of this isn’t to turn away from a greenhouse away from the house but to provide you with an idea where you bring light to the underground. Imagine a world under the house where you go to escape winter blues. If you wanted the well in the front to be a dome world you can sit under and keep warm that would be an additional option. It would be a home beneath a home. It would be a life within the home where plants could grow up. And if it was created perfectly it may be a winter haven for growing tomatoes or strawberries.

Now these are ideas. They are not meant to be laws only ideas to provide you with an imagination. Everyone has one but sometimes a picture paints a thousand words.

So if you can describe it back to me in a drawing please do so. I’ll publish it here and you can aid me in the future if it is like what I envision.
