Inventions are everywhere in our lives today. From the clothing we wear to the chairs we it in. What makes inventions wonderful is they are the product of human ingenuity. Yet I have this belief that our lives are not meant to be complicated by technology but made easier. Unfortunately we’ve swept aside the natural in our quest to extract the treasures of the earth without realizing the consequence of doing so. The result is children who don’t know what it is to explore by themselves amidst the woods, or climb trees, or swim in backwood holes and streams. They are raised on the milk of mother boards with friends called Nintendo and Game Boy.

So when I speak of invention I am not speaking of ways to hide us away from nature so much as a way to return it to our lives. I cannot think of a better way to do this then through Earth Homes. Each part of the Earth Home is designed to be an integral part of nature and the landscape. It is my hope that deer and rabbits will be walking on our roofs and we will be growing our own food inside our homes.

But to obtain a dream you need not just dreamers such as myself but practical men and women, engineers, architects, artists who can take those ideas and make them reality.

But Sanctuary Earth House Inventors are to go a step beyond what the world sees as essential. That separation between Science and Religion must be removed. We have to stop seeing God as an obstacle to clear and rational thinking but as one who desires to help us in our quest. We must have young men and women, boys and girls who are taught the principles of seeing things in different ways. We must teach them how to pray. We must teach them how to hear God.

You see it is my belief that God created all that is. I believe it is He who has kept the best until last. There is knowledge and understanding He wishes to give us in these last days. Not to create weapons of destruction or death but technology that will help us better our lives.

Invention is about seeing better ways to live. We must be open to that thought and then think on things for them to become clear in our mind. Inventors are not just meant to be the end game but conduits for ideas, dreams and realities. For example Earth House came about because I had an actual dream. When I prayed about it I believe God spoke to me to build a web site based on the perfect Earth House. That has taken me over six years of scouring the net trying to find people who have a piece of the puzzle. I have placed those pieces where I believe they will do the most good. It is my vision but I believe that vision stemmed from God. In the same way inventors are given an idea or vision by God and often meant to put their hands to the plow to make it happen.

If you talk to a scientist they will tell you invention is in using the 5 senses. I must add a 6th sense, if you will. A spiritual attunement to God. Being sensitive to His leading and His guidance. George Washington Carver understood this. He sought God for knowledge and understanding and gained it on the lowly peanut. We often assume that all knowledge has been discovered but it hasn’t. The greatest things are yet to come. The highest knowledge is yet to be revealed. Great and wonderful things are there for those who will but listen and then be willing to be more then just dreamers but actors in the greatest invention this world has ever seen.
