If one is going to plan Earth House it will require men and women with a broad spectrum of experience. To be honest I don’t believe it is possible for one person to know everything. That may sound like a ‘common sense’ statement but it is surprising how many people think they do. Every day I am learning something new about Earth Homes or about landscaping or sewage disposal or gardening. I don’t ever want to stop learning for I believe it is through learning that creativity is born. Frankly the people I want to work with are those who will amaze me with their creativity and their wisdom. It is my belief the only type of people who ever reach this place are those who have overcome many of the hindrances that this world holds on them in the form of bad habits or bad thinking.

Planning something takes time. Not only do you need a vision but you need the nuts and bolts folks who are able to take those plans and put them into reality. One of my TV hero’s is Ty Pennington and his team that each week put together the Extreme Home Makeover on ABC. Here are a team of men and women who work together to help those in need. Sure they have their faults but the end result is they come together and put aside their differences to make a better life for others.

TO be honest I don’t see myself as a great planner like Ty. I see myself as more of a laid back dreamer that is like one of those billy goats that chews and ruminates and thinks before moving forward to the next patch of green. Frankly I admire the Ty’s and others like him who have the ability to go out and make things happen now. If I were to surround myself with people it would be the doer’s and the shakers because it is they that change the world around them. They are Gods gift to this world and when used for good there is no one to compare them too. The last thing we need is the talkers and mockers who tell you they will do something and promise to do something but getting milk from them is easier then getting it from a rock or granite.

Planning does take time but it take those who are willing to look beyond their own problems and start looking for a solution. Don’t tell me you don’t have the strength or the ability. All of us have hours we waste and people who waste our time.

So how do we get started? Planning is like writing down your goals whether by drawing images or making lists. Then each of those lists or designs can be modified as our vision expands and our knowledge increases. We must not allow ourselves to be turned from the goal set before us and must persue it even when others cannot see and are blind. There will always be the doubters, the liars, the schemers. God will take care of them in His time. But I want to take those plans and make something real and something powerful that will be a blessing to my family and the generations yet to come.
