The overall purpose of Sanctuary Earth House is the following.

1. To create an easy going atmosphere based on Spiritual principles

2. To enable each person to achieve their full potential in the work they are called to do

3. To work with natural and organic products as long as safety is not an issue

4. To work with neighbours, government, social institutions without compromising core beliefs.

5. Teaching children and adults how to have more by settling for less. For example by teaching children ways of keeping busy in natural ways without the need for technology. Such as camping, hiking, swimming, cultural and spiritual concepts.

6. The purpose of technology is to enhance lives spiritually, emotionally, socially etc. Though technology will be a part it is intended to be hidden as much as possible and not intended to play an outward role unless that outward role will be beneficial to the whole.

7. Homes and buildings will be designed with people and not vehicles in mind. Vehicles will be underground or ‘behind the scenes’ and are not meant to be prominent except for purposes of mass transportation or for small groups or individuals who are unable to walk long distances.

8. Each person will be trained in some of the following. Recycling and its benefits, first aid, spiritual training, wilderness survival, people skills and other training based on various factors and interests.

9. Ideas are not only welcomed but desired. Ways and methods of improving life at Sanctuary will be looked at by various individuals. There will be growing pains but it is intended that ideas will be rewarded.

10. Sanctuary is intended to be what its name entails. A place of rest, a refuge, safety from the world that wants to have its way in our lives. Though there may be pressue in some areas it is intended to be a place where people take the time to listen, to create and to be inspired by their walk with God.
