Put enough people in one place who worship, praise and pray and you will begin to see the prophetic come to pass. There are various forms of the prophetic and working in the prophetic does not make one a prophet or prophetess. God desires to speak to mankind and he desires to be in a relationship with everyone. Unfortunately most people are just too lazy to get to the place where they can hear God speak to them. I speak as one who has been in that position and I know God had to cut me off from the main system in order to get my attention.

Part of the reason we must allow the prophetic is that it helps prepare us for the battles that are coming. It also edifies and encourages us to continue on the path we are on. Lets be honest. If we spend our life working on a project we like people to recognize what we are doing.

So how then does one operate in the prophetic? This is an important question. Perhaps one of the greatest misconceptions is to wait for human intervention or human approval to say “You are a prophet...” In fact if we look at the prophets of the old testament they often did things that would get them locked away as crazy or insane. They were also notorious for being the odd man out. While the rest of the people were prophesying good things they were the lone wolf foretelling tribulation on kings and nations. As such they were often hated and despised and often were cast into prison, into pits or had to flee after speaking.

Prophets, true prophets of God, are politically incorrect. They speak the truth even when that truth makes people cringe or grow angry. They are not afraid to call sin for what it is even if the political system is telling you what you can and cannot think or believe.

Prophets are sold out. Few people today can even conceive of living by that standard. It is a willingness to strip themselves of anything that prevents them from speaking and living the truth. Prophets can also be extremely embarrassing to the status quo. They are like those at the wedding when the Minister asks, “Is there anyone here who knows why these two should not be joined let them speak now or forever hold their peace...” It is as if God were waiting for that very moment, that critical juncture, to prompt the prophet to stand up and speak.

Prophets can be dangerous. I do not speak of those who carry guns or knives or bombs but those who are true prophets of God. The authority and power they have with God are enough to slay the sinner, control the weather, bring fire down from heaven, bring judgment on the mockers or whatever else that comes to their mind. They are not to be messed with or played with and woe to those who think they are in control. It is my contention that we will see true prophets of God in our age and they shall speak the true words of God and they shall bring devastation to many.

Finally prophets are just. When you’ve been around a prophet you know it. It is as if you have stood by a fire on a cold day and that fire heats your bones and stirs your passions. There are few, very few positions in Gods kingdom that are more powerful then they.

We are living in the final hours before the return of Christ. It is my belief that the true prophets of God are now alive and will soon be heard for the first time in years. I do not speak of the small prophets and the small events that has happened so far. But events where these men and even a women, will stand up with true power that will put to shame anything the church has yet seen. This prophetic shall sweep the world but it will not be something the established church will like. I think its important for the denominations to realize God is not coming back to establish denominations but to bring together His bride as one. The prophetic calling is to warn, to teach to bring judgment and change. They will not be popular among the masses but especially among the leadership of the established churches.
