We have left God out of science because we feel that makes us smarter. In reality it makes us ignorant and blind to facts we can’t explain. Most people are so anti-god when it comes to science that we’ve created a universe where God is not needed to run things. Evolution came along and tried to explain things but took more faith to believe in then creation. And because God is such a taboo subject these days we call creation intelligent design. Excuse me but intelligent design could be something created by aliens, ancient humans or even Satan himself. Its no better then giving glory to the ‘higher power’ that guides and leads people.
True Science is what happened to Solomon. God gave him wisdom. Its what happened to Moses for God taught him about creation and how things began. There are many out there who say the many stories of creation and the many flood stories prove the Bible is false. In reality it proves the veracity of the scriptures because the other stories are based by word of mouth but the Bible is inspired by the Holy Spirit and speaks the truth of what really happened. Its only a matter of time until they find Noah’s Ark. And its only a matter of time until they admit that all these ancient floods from a thousand different locations probably have one beginning.
What matters is that we bring God back to Science. I’m sure some will say its too late. That science has become so anti-God that it can’t possibly return to the truth. I won’t say there are not some valid points here but I will say that only God, through Christ, can save the Scientist the same as any one else.
Science is not a panacea. Science is not the cure all. Science is not the solution to the worlds problems. Faith in Christ is. But Science does help us make our lives easier. The Bible had people who invented things. Science is not evil but it is people who help make it that way.
Nor am I asking us to return to the days of some metaphysical teaching where we try to transform lead into gold. Nor am I interested in Christians who have become so anti-science that they too do not listen. On one hand you have people who argue the earth is billions of years old, mostly Evolutionists and then Christians who say its only thousands. You have the pope basically saying “Give to science what belongs to science and to Christians what belongs to Christians.” The only problem being is you Scientists end up teaching me things I know is wrong. There was no Big Bang that created the universe. There was a word of Creation by God. I don’t care if you don’t accept that but don’t spread lies that are constantly being changed as more proof of God comes to light.
No there is only one solution. The Christian must allow science to speak where it is working on a basis of God at the center of a corrupted world. When we put God back as the center of things, and we don’t need to preach it, just have it as a statement of fact. It is by doing this that the truth can then be revealed. I’ve met some stubborn Christians who are so adamant in their beliefs I can see why Scientists look at us and call us “You Creationist!” Not that it should be a bad word but we no longer know how to speak civilly to one another.
Our school will bring in Science but we will work on a theology of God being the creator and that survival of the fittest happens because of sin and not evolution. Only by returning to God can we then understand the deeper things of the universe and the world He created for you and me.
